Agent-Supervisor Coordination for Decentralized Event-Triggered Optimization

چکیده

This paper proposes decentralized resource-aware coordination schemes for solving network optimization problems defined by objective functions which combine locally evaluable costs with network-wide coupling components. These methods are well suited a group of supervised agents trying to solve an problem under mild requirements. Each agent has information on its local cost and coordinates the supervisor about term cost. The proposed approach is feedback-based asynchronous design, guarantees anytime feasibility, ensures asymptotic convergence state desired optimizer. Numerical simulations power system example illustrate our results.

Asynchronous Decentralized Event-triggered Control

In this paper we propose an approach to the implementation of controllers with decentralized strategies triggering controller updates. We consider set-ups with a central node in charge of the computation of the control commands, and a set of not co-located sensors providing measurements to the controller node. The solution we propose does not require measurements from the sensors to be synchron...

Distributed and event-triggered optimization in multi-agent networks

This thesis is concerned with the development of distributed optimization methods with adaptive step-size control and event-triggered communication, where the focus is on convex optimization problems with either nonseparable objective function but separable constraints or separable objective function but couplings in the constraints. Regarding a practice related application of the developed alg...

Agent-based decentralized coordination for electronic markets

Enterprises face stiff competition and the pressure to improve efficiency and productivity. Since the cost of production could be reduced in the last years, further reductions can be obtained e.g. by spreading production processes over organizational boundaries to use the key competencies of the involved organizations. This shift increases the number of external links and transactions of enterp...

Event-Triggered Optimization

This section introduces an event-triggered distributed algorithm that solves network utility maximization (NUM) problems in large-scale networked systems [18, 17]. Existing distributed algorithms for the NUM problem are gradient-based schemes whose convergence to the optimal point provided the communication between subsystems is sufficiently frequent. Analytic bounds on the communication interv...

Decision Fusion and Supervisor Synthesis in Decentralized Discrete-Event Systems

We study a problem in decentralized supervisory control coined the Global Problem (GP) by Rudie and Wonham (1992). The objective is to nd local supervisors that generate languages that lie in a speci ed range of closed languages. We present results for a version of this problem called the Special Global Problem, (SGP) where the lower end of the range is empty and the higher end of the range is ...
